As we conclude October, the Carolinas are experiencing another significant temperature change, bringing a final hint of summer warmth!
This evening, residents of Charlotte can look forward to a calm night with sporadic clouds and temperatures gradually decreasing into the 50s. While it won’t be too cold, a light jacket is advisable for those venturing out later.
Come Friday, temperatures are anticipated to rise notably, with daytime highs reaching the lower 80s—substantially above the usual averages for late October!
However, this warm spell will be short-lived. Heading into Halloween, increased cloud cover will bring temperatures back down to the 70s. For trick-or-treaters, evening temps will be in the 60s, offering pleasant conditions for candy collection.
Rain chances on Sunday remain low, with most areas likely to stay dry, although clouds will linger. The approaching storm system appears weak, with the highest rain probability situated in the western parts of the region, allowing Sunday plans to proceed as intended!
The continuing concern is the ongoing dry spell, with little expectation for significant rainfall in early November. Afternoon temperatures are expected to remain comfortably in the 70s, while mornings will be cooler, ranging from the 40s to 50s.
