CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A former student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte has been charged with felonies related to the unauthorized sharing of a sex tape. Authorities allege that Alexander Evanoff recorded the video without the victim’s consent and shared it with at least 32 members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
Court documents reveal that during an encounter in Hunt Hall in September, Evanoff instructed the victim to change positions and began recording her without her knowledge using his iPhone. He allegedly shared the footage through a Snapchat group. The victim confronted Evanoff regarding the video, questioning whether he believed it would enhance his image. He admitted to the recording. He faces two felony counts of secret peeping and one count of disclosing private images. University officials stated Evanoff is no longer enrolled and condemned the alleged behavior as unacceptable.
