CHARLOTTE, N.C. – New information has come to light concerning allegations against a CMS employee accused of engaging in inappropriate physical interactions with a student. Quinto Owens, a 36-year-old data manager at Garinger High School, was arrested on Tuesday.
According to recently released warrants, Owens reportedly told a 17-year-old male student that he was cold and then placed his hands underneath the student’s shirt while making comments about his physical fitness. This incident is said to have occurred on a Friday night in a parking lot at South Mecklenburg High School. The accusations further claim that Owens followed the student onto a school bus, where he again touched the student inappropriately by placing his hands under the shirt, rubbing his chest, and pinching his nipples. In response to these allegations, CMS has placed Owens on paid suspension.
