Charlotte, N.C.– The West & Wilkinson Merchant Association (WWMA) is collaborating with the West Boulevard Neighborhood Coalition (WBNC) to host events that link the rich history of Black Wall Street to the evolving businesses and neighborhoods along West and Wilkinson boulevards. Notably, Tulsa historian and educator Kode Ransom will be visiting Charlotte to facilitate these discussions.
The programming includes a hands-on business workshop scheduled for October 23 and a complimentary community presentation during Legacy Fest on October 24. These events aim to delve into themes of entrepreneurship, community resilience, and the collective impact that neighborhoods can have in creating lasting opportunities. Ransom, who specializes in the historic Greenwood District of Tulsa, will guide conversations about community building, perseverance, and how historical insights can shape future endeavors.
