HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – Faith City Church in North Charlotte is grappling with repeated violent takeovers by teenagers, culminating in shots being fired during the latest incident. Church members discovered shell casings scattered on the church parking lot following the mayhem that unfolded late Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Bishop Amere May indicated that around 25 youths found bullets on the church grounds, expressing concern about the violent behavior exhibited by these teenagers, which involved guns, drug use, and alcohol. He noted that this is not the first instance of such targeting of the church. Surveillance footage captured the chaos as the gatherings have grown alarmingly large and destructive, with recent estimates suggesting crowds of over 200 participants. Church leaders now seek accountability from parents and are advocating for increased involvement from local authorities to prevent future occurrences.
